Kindergarten Enrichment in Pittsburgh

Give your Kindergarten student the incredible gift of music in our unique enrichment program that combines Kindermusik, piano, science, and music exploration. This program is designed to stimulate your child's creativity and develop a lifelong love of music. Your child will feel cared for in this small group of peers. You will celebrate as we develop the best musical foundation with engaging and age-appropriate content.  All curricula is sequential and carefully woven together in a very wholistic way with pacing and personalization that meets the changing needs of kindergarteners. See the availability below. Each class is led by an experienced piano teacher that is also an accredited Kindermusik instructor. Class size is limited to 8 students. A typical day includes:

• Music Exploration with Instrument Instruction offered in 8 week units: Drum Circle | Ukulele | Dulcimer
• Science Unit (8 weeks): Your Kindergartener will LOVE learning about the science of sound as we learn through experimentation and discovery how sound is produced, perceived, and even how it LOOKS!  We'll participate in hands-on, interactive activities and experiments that use your child's natural sense of curiosity to uncover these awesome concepts.  We'll learn about the parts of the ear, make our own instruments, play pitch-matching games, watch vibration in action by using drums, and so much more!

The Registration Fee is $75 and it is non-refundable. Your enrollment is for the school year from September through May with a monthly payment of $165 that runs on the 1st of each month. Your enrollment includes:

• Music for Little Mozart Piano Lesson & Writing Book.
• Kindermusik Level 5 Year 1 Materials, including the Semester 1 & Semester 2 materials with glockenspiel and 2 albums of music.
• Personal Instrument Kit designed just for Level 5 Year 1 students.
• BONUS: Our Kathy's Music canvas tote bag embroidered with our logo. All the materials will fit into this bag making it easy to transport.

NOTE: We use classroom sets of ukuleles, dulcimers, and drums so there is no need to purchase or bring those instruments to class. In the event of a cancellation due to inclement weather, Enrichment class will be cancelled. If during the year a class is cancelled, there will be 1 makeup date the last week of May. Kindergarten Enrichment is for 5-6 year olds. Children must be at least 5 years of age by September 1st. Tuition is $165/month with a $75 registration fee that is non-refundable.     [/vc_column]
