Jackie began studying music performance, theory and composition under private tutors at 5 years old and continued into young adulthood. Both of her parents were musicians and singers, which helped to foster a deep appreciation for music in her and her siblings growing up. She began teaching music lessons as well as playing music in churches as a teenager.

Jackie graduated in 2002 from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia with a Bachelor’s in World Religion. Jackie has worked as a professional gigging musician, worship leader/director for various churches, private lesson studio instructor and classroom music teacher in the private school setting. She was most recently a private lesson instructor at Roberson’s Music and Forte Music in Fredericksburg, Virginia before taking a break to stay home with her son. Jackie recently relocated to Pittsburgh with her husband and her 3 year old son and is excited to join the Kathy’s Music team!
